Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) isn’t just for adults. In fact, it’s the perfect activity for kids! This form of martial arts incorporates a lot of ground grappling and is based in automatic human responses. When it comes to self defense, BJJ empowers a smaller individual to fight against a larger opponent. But the advantages don’t stop there. BJJ helps kids gain confidence, learn discipline, focus their energy, foster respect for others, and be a part of a one-of-a-kind community full of future friends and mentors!

We offer kids No-Gi and Gi classes. After joining the Pack, students will be required to obtain uniforms for class participation. Ask a staff member to assist with questions about uniforms, sizing, where to purchase etc.

When practicing No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, you’ll shed the Gi for stretchy athletic wear, such as shorts or spats and a rash guard. Without the Gi lapel and collar or pant leg to grab onto, No-Gi Jiu Jitsu is much faster and requires quick thinking. 

Definition: The Gi is the traditional uniform worn for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, consisting of a thick durable jacket, pants and belt that shows your rank.  The uniform allows for gripping the fabric to control an opponent and can be a very technical and challenging component of Jiu Jitsu. 

EVOLVE Jiu Jitsu Requires ALL students to wear a rash guard while training.  NOTE: Male students who chose to wear spats instead of shorts for No-Gi training are required to wear athletic shorts over the spats.  All female students (kids, teens, adults) are required to wear mid-thigh length shorts or longer when training.  Spats and leggings for females are acceptable as long as there are no zippers and they are “squat proof” (not see through).  After joining the Pack, students will be required to obtain uniforms for class participation. Ask a staff member to assist with questions about uniforms, sizing, where to purchase etc.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) has gained a lot of attention in recent years, and it’s pretty obvious why. Made for the real world, BJJ is a form of self-defense that every person should master. BJJ focuses on ground level altercations – utilizing holds, throws, blows, and a variety of submission techniques. This makes Jiu Jitsu ideal when learning how to take on an opponent who may be larger than you, without necessarily having to hurt them.

As of October 2025, we do not have scheduled ADULT GI Classes, however we do offer Instruction in GI upon request.

KIDS Gi classes are held on Wednesdays 5:00 – 6:00PM

Ōkamis (Little wolves)
Specialized Program geared towards 4-5 year olds. Child MUST be fully potty trained and able to follow instruction. We will do an honest assessment to see if our program is a good fit for your child and family. Limited spaces available.

MMA Concepts Classes are currently on HOLD. 

In our MMA Concepts classes, students have the opportunity to master a wide range of kicks, strikes, chokes, takedowns, holds, and submission techniques. We are committed to keeping our athletes safe, maintaining martial arts values, respecting and honoring opponents, and creating highly skilled martial artists.
